Information we collect
Information you give us
If you contact us through our website, by email, through social media or for support, we receive the information you choose to provide. This may include:
- your name and email address;
- your message and correspondence;
- screenshots, files or other information you send us; and
- information about your device, game or account where needed to investigate a support request.
We use this information to respond to you, provide support and manage our business relationships.
Information from our games
Depending on the game and the features you use, we may process technical or gameplay information such as:
- platform or game-generated identifiers;
- game progress, saves, scores and achievements;
- game settings and preferences;
- gameplay events;
- device type, operating system, game version, language or region; and
- crash reports, error logs and diagnostic information.
We use this information to provide game features, save progress, operate achievements or leaderboards, diagnose problems, fix bugs and improve our games.
We do not need to know your real-world identity simply for you to play our games.
Game platforms and stores
Our games may use services provided by platforms such as Apple, Google, Steam and other game or app platforms.
Where you use platform features such as achievements, leaderboards, cloud saves or purchases, the platform may provide us with information needed to support that feature, such as a platform-generated identifier, score, entitlement or transaction identifier.
Purchases made through third-party stores are processed by the store operator. Whitepot Studios does not receive or process your payment-card or bank account details for these purchases.
The platform operator also processes information under its own privacy policy.
Website
If you use our website contact form, we collect your name, email address and message.
Our website uses Cloudflare Turnstile to protect forms against spam, bots and malicious activity. Cloudflare processes technical information needed to provide this security service.
Information about cookies and similar technologies used on our website is available in our separate Cookie Policy.
Analytics and diagnostics
Where a game uses analytics or diagnostic services, these may collect technical information and events relating to how the game is running or being used.
We use this information to understand how our games are performing, identify problems and improve them.
We do not use gameplay analytics to build advertising profiles about individual players.
Children
Some Whitepot Studios games can be played by children.
We do not require children to provide us with direct contact details simply in order to play our games.
Any technical or gameplay information processed when those games are played is handled as described in this policy.
How we use personal information
We use personal information where it is necessary to:
- provide our games, services and their features;
- respond to enquiries and provide support;
- diagnose problems and improve our games and services;
- protect our website and services from misuse;
- manage our business and client relationships; and
- comply with legal, accounting or regulatory requirements.
Our lawful bases for doing this are:
Contract: where processing is necessary to provide a product, service or feature you have requested.
Legitimate interests: where processing is necessary to operate, support, secure or improve our games, services and business.
Legal obligation: where we need to process information to comply with the law.
Consent: where we specifically ask for your consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
Who we share information with
We do not sell personal information or provide it to third parties for their own direct marketing.
We may share or allow access to information where necessary for services we use to operate our business, website and games. Depending on the service, these may include:
- game and app platforms;
- hosting and infrastructure providers;
- website security providers;
- email and communication services;
- analytics and diagnostic services; and
- professional advisers.
We may also disclose information where required by law.
Third-party platforms and services that process information independently are responsible for their own processing and privacy policies.
International transfers
Some of the platforms and service providers we use operate internationally, so personal information may be processed outside the United Kingdom. Where Whitepot Studios is responsible for an international transfer, we use an appropriate safeguard recognised by UK data-protection law.
How we secure personal information
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, and restrict access to people and service providers who need it.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purpose for which it was collected, or where we need to retain it for legal, accounting or regulatory purposes. When we no longer need it, we delete it or anonymise it.
Contact and support correspondence is kept for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry and any resulting relationship or issue.
Technical, gameplay and diagnostic information is kept for as long as needed to provide the relevant feature, investigate problems or maintain and improve the game.

Depending on the circumstances, you may have the following rights under UK data-protection law, including the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025:
- access personal information we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate information;
- ask us to delete or restrict the use of your information;
- object to certain uses of your information;

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data-protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.
