Here are some common problems players have reported having with Tubocity – if any of the problems persist, please contact support [at] whitepotstudios.com.

Scores and Scoreboards

Why can’t I see any scoreboard entries? ?
You must be signed into:

  • Google play (on Android)
  • Game Center (on iOS)
  • or Facebook

to see the score boards. Ensure you are logged into one of these services.

Why can I see other Global and Friends scores, but not mine?

Android

Your Google Play Games profile may not be public. To fix this:

  • Go to the ‘Google Play Games’ app.
  • Click the ‘hamburger’ menu icon on the top-left of the app
  • Click ‘Settings’
  • Click ‘Gamer Profile’
  • In the ‘Gamer Profile Visibility’ prompt click ‘Public’

iOS

Your Game Center profile may not be enabled.

iOS 10 and above

To check if you are signed in to Game Center you should:

  • Open the ‘Settings’ app on your iOS device
  • Scroll down to ‘Game Center’
  • From this menu you can either create a Game Center profile, using an e-mail account of your choice, or log in to your existing account.
iOS 9 and below

Simply locate the Game Center app on your device and tap on the icon to launch it.

I got a new highscore, but my score in the scoreboards hasn’t updated ??
There can sometimes be a delay on the server side between posting a new score and it being reflected in the scoreboards.

So don’t worry, others will still see your score and it should all be up-to-date by the next time you check the scoreboards!

Why do the scoreboards just keep loading sometimes?
Sometimes the response from the Apple, Google, or Facebook servers can be slow or get lost – try exiting the score board screen and trying again.
I’m logged into Facebook, but I still can’t see Facebook scores, or my own score in there!
Posting to the Facebook scoreboards requires publishing permissions for your account. To ensure you have granted these permissions to Tubocity:

  • Go to settings
  • Scroll to Facebook settings
  • Click “Give Publish Permissions”
  • Restart the app

Don’t worry – we only use this for posting to the scoreboard – we will never post anything without your permission first!

Facebook Posting permissions?! What gives?
These permissions are required by Facebook’s API in order to post your scores to the scoreboard for your friends to see.

Controls and gameplay

I'm having trouble swiping and dragging - how can I change the sliding sensitivity?

Click the wrench icon ? on the main menu to access the ‘Settings‘ screen.

Tubocity provides an ‘slider sensitivity’ option within the Settings menu. Tailor the ‘Sensitivity’ to you own preferences under the ‘Gameplay’ heading.

I'm having issues jumping - how can I change the jump type?

Click the wrench icon ? on the main menu to access the ‘Settings‘ screen.

Tubocity provides three jump type options within the Settings menu.

  • Swipe (default)
    • Swipe up on the screen to jump
  • Two finger tap
    • Tap on the screen with two fingers to jump
  • Double tap
    • Tap the screen twice to jump

Underneath the ‘Jump Type’ heading you can tap the left and right buttons to change the jump type to any of the three options above.

I accidentally skipped the Tutorial - how do I enable it again?
Click the wrench icon ? on the main menu to access the ‘Settings‘ screen.

Tick the ‘Show Tutorial’ box under the ‘Game Play’ heading.

Quality and frame rate

My frame rate is low ?

Click the wrench icon ? on the main menu to access the ‘Settings‘ screen.

Tubocity provides a set of Graphics quality customisation options in the settings menu.

To maximise frame rate, underneath the ‘Quality’ heading:

  • Set the quality to fast
  • Untick ‘show effects’
  • Turn on ‘optimised mode’
My frame rate is fine, but the game doesn’t look as good as it does in the screenshots/trailer, or on my friend’s device

Tubocity uses a set of metrics to approximate the best default setting for your device.  There is a margin of error with these metrics, so you may be able to manually increase the quality settings.

To do this, click the wrench icon ? on the main menu to access the ‘Settings‘ screen.

Adverts & In-App Purchases

I removed ads, but they’re still showing up
Try fully closing and restarting Tubocity. If problems persist please e-mail support [at] whitepotstudios.com with your device operating system, model, and time of purchase.
Where is the Remove Ads button? I can't see it.
The “Remove Ads” button should be on the Main Menu. If you cannot see it, try fully closing and restarting Tubocity.
To what extent do you control the ads people see?
Adverts are provided by Google AdMob and their service determines which advertisements are shown to players.

The Music is amazing where can I hear more? ?
All the music in the game is made by Avaren, check them out at https://soundcloud.com/avaren
I reinstalled Tubocity but now my high score is gone!
Play a single game (even getting 0) and your high score will be synced at the end.
