Day One of Global Game Jam is now complete (well, at least in local time anyway). We had an awesome time today down at Farset Labs at Weaver’s Court.
Adam was live tweeting the event:

We've now got the theme but as per the rules we can't publicly talk about it until Hawaii know

Right, we've got our idea, now for some food, then to get down to work #GGJ2017

Back from @FarsetLabs now, I actually plan to sleep during this game jam. Made good progress today and I'll post some pics tomorrow #GGJ2017

We had some pizza ? and I believe there are due to be some Freddos available over the course of the weekend (as long as they aren’t the cost of a small mortgage now) ?.
We’ve divided up our tasks and are using Unity, 2D physics, and I’m making some art in PhotoShop currently for parallaxing backgrounds (and hoping to try SpriteIllustrator for the first time tomorrow).
I really want to talk about the theme and what we worked on, but of course that’s a big no-no until Hawaii begins the jam at 3AM our time! Hello from the future, Hawaii?
For now, here’s a picture:
