Bringing Kuato Studios’ children’s wellbeing game to Nintendo Switch in support of Starlight Children’s Foundation.
Well-Beings: Wellness for Kids is an educational wellbeing game from Kuato Studios, featuring more than 100 activities designed to help primary school children explore their feelings, creativity and wellbeing.
Whitepot Studios worked with Kuato Studios to bring the game from mobile to Nintendo Switch, implementing controller support, localisation and the changes required to adapt the experience for console.
The Nintendo Switch release was created in partnership with children’s charity Starlight. 100% of the publisher’s proceeds from the Switch version were donated to the charity, supporting its work using the power of play to improve the experience of seriously ill children in hospital.
Bringing a mobile experience to Nintendo Switch
Originally developed for iOS and Android, Well-Beings was designed around simple touchscreen interactions. Our work included adapting those interactions for Nintendo Switch controllers and ensuring the experience worked naturally as a console game.
